About the event

James Hunter established the largest ironworks in Colonial America, supplying George Washington’s Continental Forces with the guns and military equipment essential for victory during the Revolutionary War.

The gathering will take place on June 5th, beginning with a reception from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This will be followed by a historic tour of Union Church and the cemetery, where James Hunter is buried next to a plaque erected in his honor.

We encourage you to stay for the entire weekend and participate in the exciting living-history event, "Revolution on the Rappahannock," commemorating James Hunter. We are also offering a special tour package for Hunters that includes tickets to nearby historic sites for a full weekend heritage experience.
